Before blocking:
I use lavendar Eucalan for blocking. 
I have not used other soaps, so I really do not have any opinion on the best. Do any of you have a favorite blocking soap or method?
I soaked Girasole for at least 15 minutes in tepid water with the Eucalan. Once soaking was complete, I squeezed out excess water gently – this takes awhile. Then I laid the blanket flat and pinned down to the rug to dry. I did not have a lot of pins, so I decided to block the afghan with a scalloped edge. I think it will look great!

It looks great! My only word of advice (read constructive criticism) is that it is worth it to go and purchase 640 pins. All 640 little points around the edge really bring the look together. For my second I considered doing a different edge, perhaps a crocheted edge. But, I now know how much more cohesive it is to just work through that edging.
I have been reading, almost since the beginning. I am loving your blog! I won’t be surprised at all to see one of you make the Girasole again. It’s addicting!

Gorgeous, love the colour! My favourite blocking soap is called “Soak”. I love their “Aquae” scent but they all smell lovely :)
