It’s bright. It’s cheery. It’s simple. and it’s Free! I was standing in line at the LYS this weekend when these colors caught my eye. I quick grabbed them before the cashier finished ringing up the rest of my purchases, and I cast on as soon as I got home. I’m a fan of color blocking and this idea screamed Kate Spade or Marc Jacobs to me.

I really wanted the colors to stand out on their own so I had to keep the stitch simple & what’s more simple than stockinette?
I know for some of you this is hardly needs a pattern, but I also know that there are plenty of readers who might not know where to get started. So for you, dear reader, I wrote it up real nice & purrrty for ya to download.
Also for you – the yarn to make it! I bought double the yarn I needed to make this, so I am giving it to one lucky reader. Leave a comment by end of the day today and I’ll pick a winner tomorrow!

If the idea of weaving a bunch of ends in when knitting stripes haunts you while you sleep, please watch this video. It has changed the way I think about knitting stripes. I will be using this to join in any new skeins from here on out. The knot holds tight and it works right into the knitting so it’s virtually invisible! ‘So glad I found this video prior to starting this project!

Love the colors!
This yarn looks so soft and comfortable. Perfect for a summer scarf.
Wow you knit that in a hurry. I like the colors and they look good on you!

Also, that video is brilliant. I think that will be my new go-to for joining yarn. I’ve been knitting for a decade and that is just the most clever join I have seen. Thanks!!! {it’s so nice to start off the day learning something new.}

The colors remind me of a sunrise – not crazy at all! VERY cute!
I think those colours look great – especially so close to spring! Thanks for the giveaway!
Love the color combo and the chance to learn a new stitch, be it ever so simple.
Very cute – you have a great eye for color combos. And you knit really fast too! perfect knit for our early spring weather in the Midwest!
Thanks so much for the video! I’m having major issues with ends right now and hopefully this will help on future progects! Love the color combo!!
Love the colors together. You are so good!
Those colors are luscious! My daughters would love a bright scarf like this! One of my daughters started knitting a scarf and chose an army green color. She finished it , but then took a scarf from me that I had finished in bright red and purple! I loved your examples of those bright colors together. I am making a noro stripe scarf now where the stripes are created from the yarn changing color and using two different colors of the noro. It is very pretty, but in very calm colors. It would be fun to knit with your three bright, cheerful colors!
These are some awesome colors! Thanks for the chance to win.
