I had Kevin take some finished photos this morning of Rosamund.  It is by far my favorite knitted garment to date.  I used Malabrigo sock yarn and held 2 together, in order to get the correct gauge.  The Persia color of this yarn is stunning. When I was just beginning knitting I attempted this sweater.  I failed so many times at the cables that I gave up in despair.  This time I admit, I had to start over after knitting about 6 inches.  It is super easy to mix up the cable direction on the collar.  Adding stitch markers between each cable helped immensely.  The pattern is completely reversible, although on the stockinette side the cables do not “pop” as much!  I highly recommend this fast, rewarding knit!

I chose to knit my sleeves 3/4 length.  The short are cute with a shirt underneath, but I had plenty of yarn and decided to go for the added length.  I think I will wear it a lot more than short sleeves.

I found that I am a big fan of knit-alongs, I completed 2 sweaters and started a third.  I think that we should start another quick one before Christmas!  We thought of a hat knit- along.  What do you think?
