Today marks the official starting day of the hat knit-along. This is a quick one, we didn’t give you much notice to pick a pattern or yarn and we’re not giving you much time to complete it (next Monday) but we believe you can do it!
I’ve had a lot of luck with hat knitting lately. It started with my first Contemporary which I liked so much that I knit another. I’m still highly recommending this pattern, so if you haven’t decided what you’re going to knit for the knit along, consider this!
Then — this beautiful hat showed up at my door on Saturday, made by someone who I love very much and apparently loves me back. The pattern is Fisher Cable Hat and it’s done in Madelinetosh Vintage in the color called Manor. It takes less than one skein and it was done in just a couple of days – I’d say this is another great choice for our knit along this week!
A few weeks back, the knitter (who prefers to remain nameless) texted me a picture of a hat in progress. I dropped a not-so-subtle-hint by telling them that I called dibs on the next one they knit. Little did I know, they took it to heart. Now, if I can only get my husband to pick up on hints like this!
I’d love to hear what you’re working on — keep us up to date in our Ravelry forum!

Wish I looked at cute as you do in a hat ;)
You look awfully cute. :) ‘Looking forward to the KAL.
Beautiful hats and lovely model! I especially love the shimmery yarn and pattern of the first hat. Very unique.
I am working on a toft alpaca beret with rib and moss stitch. Keeps ya head warm and it’s not itchy!!!
Warm post and warm hats <3
J'adore handmade things <3
