Just call me Susie, as in Susie Homemaker. I spent this past Sunday in a hot, steamy, sticky kitchen canning fresh peaches — I’m so domestic. I haven’t ever canned anything before, but with a little help from Google, I found this article that made it seem easy enough so I figured I’d give it a try.
The total take was only 7 jars so maybe I’ll can some more next week now that I’m a pro. I’m sure I’ll be grateful for these once the winter months hit and the grocery stores are barren of fresh fruit. Something tells me Brooklyn will thank me then too!
