Brrr….it is sooo cold! I have been knitting hats all week, and settled on a pattern I am happy with.This pattern is for a worsted weight yarn, knit on size 8 16″ circular needles.  I used a skein of Madelinetosh Vintage yarn in Chestnut Colorway.  I cast the hat on after dinner last night – it is speedy.  The beanie fits both Kev and I perfect, so a great unisex hat.  Cozy up this weekend and knit this free pattern.  Stay Warm.

After a lot of designing, knitting and editing, my first pattern is ready!

A cable-designed pillow, inspired by my travels to the Connecticut Shore. While enjoying Mystic, I envisioned the sand and sea brought to life on this cabled pillow.
The design is worked in Madelinetosh Merino DK in Cove colorway to represent the hues of the sea. Knitting this was a pleasure from beginning to end. The yarn, combined with cables, is striking in its simplicity. This pattern is a fast and rewarding knit.

I used Berocco Ultra Alpaca, held double, and I love the feeling of this blanket. The drape is so perfect that it wraps right around you & it’s cozy. Very silky and soft after blocking.
