Extra Yarn

I have been meaning to share Extra Yarn with you for awhile now, but it kept slipping my mind.  Extra Yarn, by Mac Barnett & Illustrated by Jon Klassen, is a beautiful, heart-warming book that was released earlier this year. It is the sweetest thing for a knitter, young or old. I thoroughly enjoy reading it, but even better are the illustrations.  They're unexpected and so simplistic but perfect and fitting for the story.    I was lucky enough to receive this as a surprise gift from my dear sister Betsy.  This is a book I will hang onto and cherish forever. Extra Yarn is a tale of a little girl named Annabelle who finds a box of colorful yarn that she starts knitting & ends up changing her world. I saw this book again the other day- and thought I might surprise myself with it sometime, too. :) So cute.

Thanks for the cute recommendation! A perfect gift for a knitter…or a treat for myself. :)

It looks lovely! I’ve added it to my wishlist so I remember to get it when I am feeling spendy.
