FO: Gorgeous Girasole

January 11, 2013 19 Comments

It took me awhile to grab pictures and get this posted, but I am happy to report that I was able to finish Girasole within 24 hours of Christmas...it was 24 hours AFTER Christmas but that's OK, it is being loved all the same. 192A4777  192A4750 192A4728  192A4711 I ended up using 6 skeins of Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted to make this but I did make a few modifications:
  • Charts A-D were followed as instructed
  • Chart E was repeated 2 times instead of 3 times
  • Chart F was repeated as instructed
  • Chart G was repeated just once instead of twice.
192A4767  192A4754 192A4724 One of my favorite things about this pattern/yarn combo is that the yarn is incredibly soft and lightweight so it sort of molds to your body - but don't let that fool you because it's still incredibly warm and cozy. This is top 5 favorite knit and I would definitely spend time making this again!

Stunning. I would love to make this someday. ’A little more knitting experience needed first, though. So, so pretty in that color way!

Stunning. I knit a Girasole for a friend as a wedding gift a few years ago and have been wanting to knit another for myself… seeing yours is putting me over the edge, it’s so beautiful in those hand dyed tones!

I was thinking of using this same yarn for a wrap for my mother-in-law to use to keep warm during her chemotherapy. This color is right in her palate- is this the “well water” option?
