Knitted Display Board

Knitting can be a piece of art that deserves to be framed and displayed like any other work of art.  Every now and then when you're looking for a super simple project, try and think outside the box and create new ways to enjoy your knitting.  This knitted display board was a great project to use up some Berroco Peruvia I had in my stash.  This board is is 7"x14" and used about 3/4 of a skein of yarn.  I have 2 more skeins in my stash so I have a few more boards in different shapes and sizes to make and hang for display. I think my favorite part is the simplicity and texture. The diamond pattern comes from the Interweave Knits Cables & Arans book. I highly recommend it. It's fun to flip through the pages and let the ideas roll in your head. A knitted display board is a fun way to show gauge swatches, knitting tools, jewelry or even a nice photo collage. It also helps to jazz up your favorite knitting nook.

Another great knit/accessory idea. Well, the wreath was a success so I guess a kickin’ knit board is next…
