Not-so-loving Mistakes

Last week I posted Loving Mistakes...well, I have one mistake to share that did not make me feel so loving.  I picked up my knitting project to find a snapped Knitters Pride Needle!  They are from the interchangeable set, so I am not sure if I can get replacements.  I always set my knitting on the couch, it stays there most of the time and when I have  free minute, I knit a few rows.  No, it is not the best place to leave my knitting needles with 3 rowdy boys.  Last night I went stomping into their bedroom demanding to know "WHO did this?!?"  As though they are going to own right up to that one!  Darren did fess up that they were wrestling and it just happened.   A little voice in my head was telling me that if I hadn't left it on the couch this would not have "just happened."   Oh well.  I have had an ongoing debate with myself on which needles I like better the Addi Turbo, or Knitters Pride, on this current project it has been the knitters pride for the pointy tips.  I am knitting with size 4 needles and sock yarn, with a lot of purl 3 tog, the pointed tip is much speedier.  But, Addi Turbos are much more Rowdy Boy friendly!  Those metal needles would not have snapped and my boys bottoms would have known they were there! I love those rowdy boys anyway (especially since it is my fault :)

Did this myself, but fortunately it was not on one of my interchangables, it was on a pair of Knitters Pride circulars that I had bought before my set was given to me as a gift. I had all my knitting on the floor in a bag by the couch. Got off the couch and you guessed it… I stepped on the bag and heard crunch. Ugh!!!!!

ugh, that’s frustrating! i bought a pair of addi natura specifically for my toe-up-two-at-a-time socks and this happened shortly after i bought them! still not sure who or how but not very happy about it! : /

Breaking a needle is ALWAYS frustrating! the silver lining here, is that you can order a new set of tips… webs sells the tips individually!

Oh I hate it when I break a knitting needle! And that was a very lovely needle that broke. Sniff sniff.
