Matthew, Brooklyn and I enjoyed a little vacation away from our usually hustle and bustle, which tends to be a lot more like craziness and chaos. It felt so good because it was long overdue. Brooklyn was just thrilled to have both her parents doting on her 24 hours a day. She's a very curious child so she loves going new places, seeing new things and watching people!
Our little vacation was a 5 hour drive from home and about 1.5 hours into it Brooklyn got a little restless. It just so happened that it was right around the time we were driving past the Bronx Zoo so we stopped for a few hours. It was totally spontaneous and spectacular!
We're spent a few days in beautiful Stone Harbor, NJ where the sun was shining, the air was crisp and the beach has powder-like sand. I have an extremely happy baby, it's impossible not to smile when you're with this little gem.
She thought vacation was pretty great -- so did I. I'm learning as a new mom, how to shift priorities, balance working and living but I'm on my way to enjoying what really matters most!
Knitting update: Some serious progress has been made on Chance of Showers and Dressage. Can't wait to show you next week!
